Wow, just wow.

I thought I'd go and play some HvH to see what its like, and this rolling and leaving thing is the worst, most stupid thing i have seen in guild wars. The promise of a tournament for this game mode makes it seem worth attempting to play seriously, and as I have isp issues and can't make use of vent atm its all I've got for competition right now.

So, gone in 4 times.
1. idiot#1:roll_
idiot#1:roll?
me: No
idiot#1mg
*idiot#1* has left the game

2. him: roll?
me: No that's retarded
him: ok, your choice
we fight, i get some kills
him: You know what is retarded? Bringing a blinding surge ele.
me: So is having two monks
etc.

Ok, this guy gets props for playing, I don't care about the build rage, I don't like facing ritualists, paragons, blind bots, blood spike, obsidian spike and plenty more stuff in GvG, but hey I get over it.

And two more people leave when I refuse to roll.

One was polite about it, I think the other may have done the "Omg ____" stuff.

Off to annoy some more people by wanting to play the game, please fix this anet.

then ppl would do it like my guildies and I did on the first night... 1st match you leave, tell guy he owes you.

basically put we farmed 125 points on 3 ppl in our guild doing this in 1 night. Debt system and ppl liked it 'cause if they ran into any of the 3 ppl from my guild doing that we'd pay them back etc

/roll-ing was brought in by me and this one other guy 'cause we kept forgetting whose turn it was~ and now a bunch of ppl coming in refusing to roll and running dumb builds, they think I'll just rage when they don't leave.. forcing them to ragequit is always nice, 3 thumpers > dumb 2 monk builds with wards and crappy assassins.

only way to nerf it would be to award points on streak

Actually there is no reason to not return you to the arena, you're by yourself, your winning/losing streak stays and you can continue a winning streak even if you log off and log back on later.

fantastic job

limiting 2 npc on HA was fine, and the new article on recreating the pvp aspect of the game sounded great!

i would suggest you to make some kind of more objective towarded maps for Random/Team Arenas, just like the ones we have on Hero Battles


I think it woulda be really cool to have control point, capture the flag maps, and other non-annihilation based on 4v4 Arenas

In a random arena, with Spear of Light using Wammos and mesmers that put backfire on Ranger/Warriors?

Please. Get real.

we still have Team Arenas


I agree RA isnt the best place to enjoy some teamplay, specially with the increasing number of quitters/afks there, but TA deserves some love

They want to get Nightfall to the public I guess. If they can advertise with a whole new mode of Pvp with its own ladder and tourney, more people will buy it.

I also like GvG more, but all arenas are filled with noobs running trashy, overpowered builds they copied from someone else. Guild Wars was better when more than 3 different builds existed.

Have you been to TA, its a joke. In TA you either beat up on leftover RA teams or play against the same FOTM builds over and over. There are also limited tactics in TA, so build matchups take precedence. Its a race to the death and alot of time its more about what skills you brought than the actual skill you posses.

That said if you and few compentent guildies form a TA team it is going to be a cake walk and you will rake in a retarded amount of wins. Its easy to go a few hours and not lose. Hence the reason glad titles are worhtless.

I've been playing a bit yesterday, but I couldn't find a FOTM.

Awesome job arenanet! Removed the buriel mounds map so players get less fame per full run, encouraging full holding or gimmick builds, and add a lever to scarred earth allowing defensive and losing teams to run around to stall extra time. Reconnects just barely past the deadline, we didnt need them 15 months ago!! Plus i love that when you load a new map in HA you cannot reconnect, because im sure thats a terribly difficult issue to resolve. I'll be looking forward to more bullshit updates where pvp is gimped more, and when we finally figure it out updating boss monsters and removing us from holding halls. Every time I think you couldnt mess the game up more... and you still manage it. Love you anet! <3
